Summary: The aim of this Agreement is the creation of a European Common Aviation Area. The Agreement creates an open framework accessible for European countries which wish to fully integrate into the European aviation family and to fit into the Neighbourhood Policy of the EU. Air transport agreement between the US, the EU, Iceland and Norway and the additional agreement between Norway, Iceland and the EU on the application of the agreement regarding air transport
Summary: Norway and Iceland formally requested the accession to the EU-US Air Transport Agreement in 2007. These Agreements will ensure a consistent regulatory framework for flights between the US and the single aviation market in the EU – including Iceland and Norway.
