Project: partial sholarships for academic year 2018 2019 C-MAT Beneficiary: Centre for Maritime and Air Transport Management Budget: 110.000 euros Period: 2018-2019 At the beginning of 1996, the Institute of Transport and Maritime Management Antwerp (ITMMA) was established as an autonomous institute within the structures of the University of Antwerp. The institute specializes in transport, maritime economy and logistics management. Since the academic year 2015-2016, ITMMA has undergone a name change and the curriculum has been renewed.

Project: Annual contribution to the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2018 Beneficiary: The World Economic Forum Budget: 60.000 Swiss franc Duration: 2018 - 2019 Flanders has been a member of the WEF since 1993 and receives an annual invitation for the annual and regional meeting. The Government of Flanders defines the status of "Foundation Member" of the WEF. The Minister-president of the Government of Flanders has repeatedly participated in the annual meeting in Davos. During this meeting, recent economic, political, social and scientific trends are discussed.

Northern strategy - Flanders' Focus on the North 2021
As set out in the Flemish Coalition Agreement 2019-2024, the Government of Flanders is emphatically setting its sights on the North. It is the ambition of the Government to make Flanders an undisputed reference region in the Europe of the 2020s. Building on the constructive cooperation with the Netherlands, Germany, and the Baltic States, the Government wishes to quickly join forces with the other Northern European countries.

United Nations Convention on transparency in treaty-based investor-state arbitration
Summary: The Convention is an instrument by which Parties to investment treaties concluded before 1 April 2014 express their consent to apply the Rules on Transparency. The Rules on Transparency, effective as of 1 April 2014, are a set of procedural rules for making publicly available information on investor-State arbitrations arising under investment treaties.The Convention supplements existing investment treaties with respect to transparency-related obligations.
