Project: provide humanitarian aid to Palestinian refugees and to develop development-oriented activities for them. Beneficiary: UNRWA Duration: 2016-2018 Budget: 150.000 euro On 23 October 2015, the Government of Flanders decided to continue the aid to UNRWA till 2018 with a annually amount of 150,000 euros. Through this support, the Government provides assistance to the affected population in the Palestinian territories and contributes to the post 2015 targets on poverty, food security, health and education.

Duration: 2015 Budget: 150.000 euro the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) offers the refugees education, health care, shelter, microfinancing and first aid, especially in war times.

Project: promoting the sexual and reproductive rights of women and girls, and the combat on violence against women Beneficiary: www.forumulher.org.mz Duration: 2013-2016 Budget: 340.000 euro At the end of September 2013, the Government of Flanders decided to contribute to this initiative. The aim of the project is to improve the human rights and gender situation in Mozambique. The project was part of a strategic plan of the umbrella organisation “Forum Mulher”.

Project:  Strengthening human rights, citizenship, intercultural and other standards in the curriculum of public education in Iraqi Kurdistan Beneficiary: Human Rights Office (OHCHR/UNAMI HRO) Amount: 114.017 euro Duration: 2016 Minister-president Bourgeois decided during his official visit to Iraqi Kurdistan in April 2016 to support the project "Human Rights Education in Schools". The goal of this project is to strengthen human rights, citizenship, intercultural and other standards in the curriculum of public education in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Project: Bridging the Gap between Qualification and Quality Employment Beneficiary: Autonómia Foundation Amount: 14 months Duration: 25.000 euro The Hungarian foundation Autonómia aims to provide more opportunities for Roma youth on the labour market. The foundation will take the necessary actions to combat discrimination on the labour market.  As part of the project, the foundation will collaborate with the city of Ghent.

Project: Human Rights Competition called Összpont andÖsszpont summer youth camp Beneficiary: Amnesty International Hungary Amount: 9.500 euro Duration: 2018 The purpose of the competition and summer youth camp Összpont is to get Hungarian young people acquainted with the topic of human rights.

Project: The implementation of the UN convention on the rights of persons with disabilities Beneficiary: UNIA Budget: 36.956,20 euro Duration: 2017 Unia is an independent public institution that combats discrimination and promotes equal opportunities. Project: Promoting inclusion of people with disabilities in Ukraine Beneficiary: vzw Oradea Amount: 16.000 euros Duration: 2018 The project consist of three parts:  Launching of an international thematic network on inclusion. The network consists of universities, NGOs and field organisations. (Flanders, Romania) Spreadig the Flemish documentary 'See me do' about people with intellectual disabilities, in Ukrainian schools, universities and welfare facilities.

Project: Operating grant 2019 Beneficiary: Nadia's Initiative Budget: 250.00 euros Period: 2019 Nadia’s Initiative is a nonprofit organization founded in 2016 by Nadia Murad that advocates for victims of sexual violence and aims to rebuild communities in crisis. Project: Vulnerable families in Urban Aleppo recover from the conflict and rebuild their lives and communities Beneficiary: Caritas International Belgium Budget: 100.000 euros Period: 2018 - 2019 The project of Caritas International Belgium aims to support vulnerable people in Aleppo and supports them in their search for sustainable solutions.  Caritas International comes to the aid of victims of violence, natural catastrophes, and poverty whether in their own country or on the run through our local, national, and international network.

Project: School Prevention Work on internet safety in cooperation with Child Focus Beneficiary: Kék Vonal Child Crisis Foundation Budget: 3.360 euros Period: 2018 - 2019 The Kék Vonal Child Crisis Foundation is a Hungarian NGO. Since 1993, Kék Vonal has been running a helpline for children and young people. In addition, Kék Vonal also visits children in school.

Project:  The ‘International Advisory Panel Ukraine’ investigates possible violation of human rights Benificiary : Council of Europe  Amount: 82.500 euros Duration: January 2015 - November 2015 706/5000 Flanders supports the "International Advisory Panel Ukraine", which is part of the "Immediate measures package" of the Council of Europe, which covers 5 themes: human rights, state reform, elections, capacity building and civil society.
