Project: the performance of dance company Shell Shock in Paris  Beneficiary: Eastman  Budget: 25.000 euros Period: 2018 - 2019 On the 10th and 11th of November 2018, Eastman Dance Company (choreographer Sidi Larbi Cheraoui) will perform in Paris as part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the WOI Armistice. The performances of Shell Shock in Paris offer a good opportunity for Flanders to be present at the closing event of the French President Macron in the context of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Great War.

Project: Centenary of WWI and its Underwater Cultural Heritage: Exhibit on African and Asian involvement Beneficiary: UNESCO Amount: 49.990 USD Duration: 2014 - 2018 Throughout 2014-2018 the centenary of the First World War is commemorated. The naval battles and remaining underwater cultural heritage linked to those battles merit attention as well. This projects focuses on the African and Asian involvement in naval battles with an exhibition.

Project: Preproduction work of the upcoming concert at the Edinburgh Tattoo Festival and the costs associated with the stay in Edinburgh Beneficiary: Royal wind band Ypriana  Budget: 22.500 euro Duration: 2018 The Royal wind band Ypriana has been a fixed cultural value for more than 80 years when it comes to hafaba music (harmony - brass) and has an international reputation thanks to various concert tours in Hungary, the Czech Republic, France, England and Germany.  Geert Gombeir, production partner of the band will take charge of the artistic preproduction and the production of the harmo

Project: Curriculum ‘The Volunteers: Americans join World War One, 1914-1919’ Beneficiary: AFS Intercultural Programs, Inc  Amount: 30.000 USD Duration: 2014 - 2016 The Volunteers: Americans Join World War I, 1914-1919 Curriculum was launched on March 2 at an event hosted by the Flanders House in New York City and online at thevolunteers.afs.org. The event featured keynote speaker Sophie De Schaepdrijver, a distinguished Belgian historian, Associate Professor at Pennsylvania State University, and recipient of the Order of the Crown (Belgium).

Project: The Fire of Leuven. Chronicle of a War Crime. Beneficiary: Fonk vzw Amount: 7.000 euros Duration: December 2013 - August 2014 In late August 1914, Leuven fell victim to blind war rage. Virtually the entire city centre was systematically destroyed by the German occupying forces.

Project: Learning for Peace  Beneficiary: Flanders Peace Field vzw  Amount: 20.000 euro Duration: December 2013 - December 2014 Flanders Peace Field organization wants to set up a educational project to guide young people towards peace education, community building, empowerment and critical citizenship through the story of the Christmas ceasefires and football.  The history of WWI and its Christmas ceasefires, like the football story, is a way to make young people reflect on conflicts of today, about living together, about tolerance and diversity, on fair play on and off the football fiel
