  2. Agreement amending the fourth ACP-EP Convention of Lomé

    Summary: The fourth ACP-EP Convention has been amended in the context of major economic and political changes in ACP countries (democratization process, structural adjustment), in Europe (enlargement, increasing attention to East European and Mediterranean partners), and in the international environment (Uruguay Round Agreement).

  3. Agreement amending the Partnership Agreement between the members of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States, of the one part, and the European Community and its Member States, of the other part

    Summary: The overriding objective of revision process was to enhance the effectiveness and quality of the ACP-EU partnership. By this amendment ICC, WMD and non proliferation clauses were inserted.

  4. Grant for improving the representation of African natural sites on the World Heritage List, 2019

    Project: Improving the representation of African sites on the World Heritage List: upstream support for natural heritage Beneficiary: UNESCO Duration: 2019-2020 Budget: 250.000 USD Africa remains poorly represented on the World Heritage List. It is a longstanding aim for UNESCO to improve this situation. In order to achieve a more balanced representation on the World Heritage List, technical assistance should be provided to African countries in their efforts to nominate sites as World Heritage. This projects wants to contribute to that aim, specifically for key natural sites.

    Summary: The aim of the agreement is to promote and expedite the economic, cultural the ACP States, with a view contributinh to peace and security and to promoting a stable and democratic political environment.
