From 27 to 30 September, the first edition of the SuperNova festival took place in Antwerp. Supernova is Flanders’ most important festival on innovation and technology where game-changers and businesses of tomorrow meet and entrepreneurs, professionals and creatives connect to get inspired and empowered.
On 27 and 28 September, a two-day paid conference with world-class international speakers was organized for professionals. Many companies were given an opportunity to show off their latest technological innovations. The weekend programme (free, 29-30 September) allowed the general public to discover what will change in the coming years in the areas of work, mobility, healthcare and sustainability.
Minister of Innovation Philippe Muyters is very pleased with the arrival of SuperNova: “Science and technology are extremely important for Flanders. Together with the Government of Flanders, we invest hundreds of millions in innovation every year. SuperNova is a way to show people which top innovations are being developed in Flanders.”
SuperNova is organized by Flanders DC, the point of contact for entrepreneurs in the creative industries in Flanders, and Scale-Ups, a platform to help technology companies grow and develop.
