On 9 July, Minister-President Jambon gave his annual 11 July speech to the diplomatic corps, this time in Bozar. Central to the speech was the gradual return to the 'new normal' and the efforts being made worldwide to cope with the corona crisis.
Minister-President Jambon explained the Flemish recovery plan to strengthen the prosperity of Flanders and the well-being of the Flemish people again after the crisis.
On an international level, things are gradually getting back on track as well. Flanders is therefore once again fully focusing on the world, with many announced foreign missions and plans.
Nevertheless, the Minister-President emphasized that it remains important to regularly look back and learn lessons from the crisis. Thus, the importance of 'open strategic autonomy' and international solidarity became clear once again.
Finally, Minister-President Jambon expressed the hope for a further positive evolution of the situation and the wish for further constructive cooperation with all partners of Flanders.
