On 29 and 30 August, a two-day training for teachers for the My Voice My School project was organized in the Errera House. This year three Flemish schools participate in this project, which highlights the need for quality education for refugee children in conflict areas. Minister-president Bourgeois granted 40.000 euros for the implementation of this UNRWA project in Flanders.
The two-day training should allow teachers to support their class in their contacts with Palestinian students in Gaza and Syria. A number of teachers from the UK and Norway where the My Voice My School project will start this fall also participated in the training.
Thanks to the Flemish funding, UNRWA was able to expand the project so primary schools could also participate in My Voice My School in the future.
