On June 16th a Slovak delegation was received in Brussels to discuss a new Flemish-Slovak cooperation program for the period 2015-2017, with their Flemish counterparts.
Following an intense morning of negotiations, both heads of delegation signed a seven-page cooperation programme which defines the new cooperation framework for the next three years.
This fifth cooperation programme emphasizes the 13 years of close cooperation between Flanders and Slovakia. A long tradition of cooperation, that was also underlined by the presence of the Slovak ambassador in Brussels, Stanislav Vallo.
The Flemish delegation was led by Koen Verlaeckt, Secretary-General of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Slovak group was led by DuĊĦan Bella, Director of the Economic Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia.
