Project: Coordinaton of the humanitarian consortium COSACA in Mozambique
Beneficiary: Oxfam Solidariteit
Budget: 478.793,16 euro
Duration: 2018 – 2019
COSACA consists of the international aid organizations Oxfam, CARE International, Save the Children and Concern Worldwide. Through joint and coordinated action, COSACA has been working to increase capacity for disaster preparedness, response, and coordination.
The emergency and humanitarian consortium wants to develop a new coordination structure. Based on lessons learned from drought, flood and cyclone responses, COSACA members have decided to change to a light coordination structure.
The aim of the project is to establish a permanent structure for the coordination of the humanitarian consortium COSACA, in order to prepare and respond to crises in Mozambique. This unit will ensure that funds allocated by other donors to the Consortium for Humanitarian Crises will be deployed in a timely and efficient manner.
