Six projects can work for three years as part of a change process towards sustainable development goals. In 2018, the Department of Foreign Affairs launched a call for projects to embed the International Development Agenda in Flanders for which the Government of Flanders provided a subsidy of 1 million euros.
Flanders strives for Flemish actors to jointly set up initiatives to work towards a sustainable and internationally just society. Parameters of selection included: action-oriented work on system change in one's own society, innovation, multi-actor partnerships and a clear International dimension.
The selected projects contribute to change in Flanders through a wide range of themes: ICT purchasing and processing policy, embedding Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) principles, international municipal cooperation, LGBT + rights within the business community, sports federation policy or activating young people for volunteering.
