The resolution calls on the government of Flanders to condemn the violence and to urge the international community to ‘play a facilitating and mediating role between the Spanish and Catalan government in order to achieve a peaceful and sustainable solution'.

The resolution has been unanimously approved by the majority parties and the opposition.
