The Government of Flanders focuses on structural measures and works closely with the United Nations Organization for Agriculture and Food (FAO). From 2016 till 2019, FAO will assist Malawi, Mozambique and Zambia to increase the climate resilience and food security of local farmers. Lessons learned from this program will be brought to the FAO global level. FAO is after all the travelling and coordinating United Nations organization for the Global Allianc on Climate Smart Agriculture (GACSA), a global partnership that aims to make agriculture more resilient against global climate stressors.
