On 18 December, Minister-president Bourgeois decided to allocate 25.000 euro to the Hungarian Autonómia Foundation for helping educated Roma youth with their search for quality employment.
Autonómia Foundation aims to provide more opportunities for Roma youth on the labour market with its project called “Empowering Educated Roma Youth: Bridging the Gap between Qualification and Quality Employment”. The foundation will take the necessary actions to combat discrimination on the labour market. As part of the project, the foundation will collaborate with the city of Ghent.
This initiative comes within the framework of the Flemish Action Plan on Central and Eastern European Migrants to facilitate the integration of the Roma, as well as the EU’s policy for improving the socio-economic position and social inclusion of Roma.
